A partner of choice to iconic Quick Service Restaurants, CPG brands, and food service companies that produces a wide range of sauces, syrups, toppings, fillings and beverage products is seeking a Sr. Director of Research, Development and Innovation to lead the R&D and innovation strategy for the organization.. This Department Head position is responsible for building a culture of innovation, and will lead the R&D organization to drive customer focused innovation and cost savings initiatives and will serve as a strong leader internally and partner effectively externally. The Sr. Director will demonstrate strong leadership and set a clear vision, goals and objectives for the Innovation, Research & Development, Packaging, Culinary and Sensory Teams. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Science or similar, with 10+ years of related innovation, R&D, and quality assurance experience, 15+ years of experience in a food science leadership role and 10+ years of people management. Ideal candidates will bring a track record of managing R&D, Packaging, Culinary and Sensory teams translating customer and consumer visions into robust solutions from concept development to commercial launch. Leading privately held manufacturer of sauces and condiments is looking for a Senior Director of R&D to join their organization. This leader will oversee all R&D functions (product, packaging, and processing) as well as an organizational transformation to an innovation strategy. The successful candidate will possess a BS (MS preferred) in Food Science or equivalent, 10+ years of people management (direct and indirect), proven success in transformational leadership, and concept to commercialization experience leading to product launches.
