Principal Food Scientist

Are you looking to get involved in the next big thing?  Here is your opportunity to be part of an Entrepreneurial Start-up Company.  Located in Chicago, they are seeking a Principal Scientist.  The Principal Scientist will be hands-on developing new products, working with customers on product applications, building external relationships with science and technology solution providers, and staying abreast of new/competitive technologies.  Candidate must have a minimum B.S degree in Food Science or related field with 10+ years of experience working in Research & Development in the Food and/or Ingredient industry developing new products from concept to commercialization.  Prior experience working with Plant Based Proteins or Hydrocolloids is a must along with knowledge of quality systems, food safety and an understanding of federal and government agencies (FDA, USDA, GRAS submissions).  Understanding of the economics of the food industry to focus efforts onto commercially viable projects highly desirable along with experience with “first of its kind” technology.
