Principal Food Scientist

The “Creamery of Tomorrow”, an artisan vegan creamery, is looking for a Principal Food Scientist to help crack the creamery code with plant milks.  This position will be responsible for developing authentic vegan cheese and butter from wholesome and sustainable plant milks.  The company, located near Wine Country in northern California, is out to create a new kind of food company, food system, and food culture that’s built on the principle of compassion for all living beings.  The position will be responsible for all phases of product development including ideation/market research, benchtop formulation, scale-up/commercialization and continuous improvement.  Ideal candidate will have extensive food industry experience in Research & Development working on plant-based food products for the natural and/or organic markets.  Candidate must have a minimum B.S in Food Science, Food Engineering or related field.  Ph.D and M.S preferred.  Strong technical food science knowledge in the areas of emulsions, fermentation, plant-based proteins and lipids a must.  Qualified candidates please contact Sheri Baker at SBaker@HHISearch.com for additional details and to apply.
