Lead Scientist – Meat

Venture capitalist backed, food biotechnology company seeks a Lead Scientist – Meat in applications development capable of prototyping innovative, industry disruptive products that are delightful, appealing and differentiated for customers and consumers. This company utilizes proprietary technology to develop a new generation of food ingredients that transform the taste, texture, flavor, nutrition and affordability of protein food, beverage and nutritional products. This person will also build and leverage external relationships with science and technology solution providers, customers and vendors to maximize external capacity and competencies. Must fit well in a fast moving, driven, entrepreneurial culture and be intellectually curious with a desire to experiment. Target candidate holds a Ph.D in Food Science, Meat Science, Engineering or related filed with 5+ years of experience in plant protein ingredients across a range of applications.
